Building capacity and resilience for small NFPs in the post-COVID era
Jim Brennan is the Executive Director, Multicultural and Immigrant Services Association of North Vancouver Island, a regional community-based organization that provides settlement and language services to newcomers who live in 20+ geographically and culturally diverse communities/islands that span the entire area of North Vancouver Island and includes the surrounding islands. These communities are as diverse as the people who live in them.
Jim has a Master’s Degree in Distance Education focusing on International Issues and he also holds an undergraduate degree in Community Development.
Jim has an eclectic professional background that has included living and working as a Professor at the University for Development Studies in Ghana, West Africa, National Manager for Staff Development for an International Safety Company, 15 years as a private Management Consultant for multiple private and government sectors which included building virtual academic schools for first nation youth and adults across western Canada.
