Making Evaluation Work for a Different Future
Carolyn Camman has been practicing in evaluation for nearly a decade and currently specializes in developmental evaluation and evaluating in complexity. They have woven together a background in applied social psychology with creative qualitative methods,
hosting and facilitation practices, and a commitment to social justice and reclaiming evaluation as the work of communities with and for themselves.
Carolyn is a graduate of SFU’s recently-launched Evaluation for Social Change and Transformational Learning certificate and part of a growing movement of evaluators working with the principles of Equitable Evaluation. They have been an active member of their professional community, co-organizing events and initiatives to support new and emerging evaluators in the field, and more recently speaking at a number of events and sessions hosted by educational institutions and other organizations about developmental and equitable evaluation practices. As a queer, trans, nonbinary person they are part of a diverse community of people for whom a more just and equitable world is essential.
